4-Ex MLA’s walked out of the Meeting convened by Capt. Amrinder Singh.
Chandigarh (NewsManMedia) 4th April,
Punjab congress president Capt. Amrinder Singh has called a meeting of all the defeated MLA Candidates of congress party today at UT Guest House. In which 9 Candidates were absent out of 71. Only 4 Ex. MLA’s walked out of the meeting named as Mr. Sukhpal singh khera, Mr. Ripjit singh Brar, Mr. Sibia and Mr. Bansal and they were demanding the resignation of the present head of the Punjab congress Capt. Amrinder Singh.
After the meeting Capt. Singh clarifies that the meeting was a general meeting to boost the moral of the Candidates who lost the elections. He further explained that the meeting was not called to review the out come of the Assembly elections.
Talking on the issue of Bibi Jagir kaur’s special treatment given in the Jail, he firmly took stand and said that it is “no issue” as we have also given special treatment to Badal’s when they were in the jail during last congress government. On the other hand Mr. Khera and group along with Mr. Avtar Brar met Governor Punjab Shri. Shivraj Patil to protest against the VIP treatment given to Akali Ex. Cabinet Minister Bibi jagir kaur in the Kapurthala jail. It is important to mention here that since last few days there is an open word war going on between Mr. Sukhpal Singh khera and Capt. Amrinder Singh where as Bibi Jagir kaur who is sentenced for 5 years imprisonment by the CBI Court had contested against Mr. Khera and won in 2012 Assembly elections on Shiromani Akali Dal ticket from Bhullath constituency.
